Technology Platform Status
Virasat is a digital technology platform and self-help organizer. We do not provide formal legal representation or legal advocacy.
Statutory Will Execution
Legal validity in India requires that you print the document, sign it, and have it attested by two competent witnesses as per law.
User Responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring the factual accuracy of all property details, beneficiary names, and allocation shares entered.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or purchasing any service on the Virasat website (“Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to all terms, you must discontinue use of the platform immediately.
2. Nature of Service (No Legal Advice)
Virasat provides a self-guided technology tool and structured document formatting software designed around the Indian Succession Act, 1925.
3. Legal Validity & Execution Requirements in India
Under Indian law (Section 63 of the Indian Succession Act, 1925), the legal validity of a Will is established upon correct execution:
- The testator (you) must print the document and sign or affix their mark to every page.
- The Will must be signed and attested in your physical presence by at least two (2) competent witnesses who are not beneficiaries under the Will.
- Registration of a Will at the Sub-Registrar's office is optional under Indian law, and Virasat does not collect or manage statutory government registration fees.
4. Account Registration & Security
To access Will creation, you must authenticate using your valid email or phone number. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
5. Fees and Payment Terms
Will creation on Virasat is provided for a published one-time fee of ₹999 (inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise). Payment is processed via authorized third-party gateways. There are no recurring subscription fees for the standard Will creation service.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, Virasat Technologies and its officers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from errors in information provided by the user, improper physical execution of documents, or external disputes among family members.
7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
